My husband Matt and I don’t have kids, but our frenchie Gizmo may as well be our child. I like to think I’m not one of those ‘crazy dog moms’, but let’s be serious, Gizmo is my furbaby. I’ll keep it real, he lives a happy, simple life- enjoying long walks, play time at the dog park and time hanging out with the family. Gizmo just turned 4 this year and we recently moved from Northern Michigan to Florida and Gizmo has been having a rough time with the transition. Since he’s officially ‘an adult dog’, Gizmo has been very lethargic, distancing himself from us, and avoiding breakfast and dinner in his bowl. Besides this out of character behavior, Gizmo has been excessively scratching his ears and biting his paws red raw. We have taken him to the vet countless times since being in Florida for these issues plus his bad breath and diarrhea. Originally, we thought it might be the weather or stress from moving but over time and countless vet appointments, and hours researching online we realized his food was the problem.
